Do You Know What Your Website is Doing?

I can recount many instances of when we've reviewed website statistics with clients and you almost see their jaws drop. You can tell they simply had no idea what was going on with their website. If you think of your website as a salesperson, that would be like never checking on their progress and just keep paying them. The first step is knowing. Knowledge is power. Assumption gets you nowhere. Once you know what's working, expand on it. People may be coming to page on your website that has some information but not enough, so they're leaving. You could be getting some decent traffic to a page but you're not closing the deal. Is there a call to action on that page? Does that page encourage action or leave people hanging so that they want to contact you? It could be very easy to make a few, quick, easy changes to your website and then capitalize on what you already have. To me, that's "Website Optimization," which is different from Search Engine Optimization. The two work together but are different animals. It doesn't take much to get on the right path. If you don't have Google Analytics installed on your website, then that's the first step. We'd be happy to set that up for you and go over the results. You can either contact us or order a Google Analytics Install right here on our website (see my calls to action?? Nice!). -Tony
