It depends on where you host your site and if that host provides access to logs. You don't ever want to use a "counter" program because they slow your site down and are not as accurate. Often when a change is made on a website, you cannot see the change because your computer has a saved (“cached”) version of the website or web page. To force your web browser to discard its saved version and grab a fresh copy from the server, you should hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Refresh/Reload button in your web browser.
