Get Your Google Profile Yet?

This is one of those ideas I had a while ago but Google actually had the resources to do better than I would have (well, maybe not better but different). Google Profiles!

It's like an online business card with maps, pictures and links. They're free and the best part is, they appear in some search results! I'm seeing mine at the bottom of the first page of results for "Tony Herman" which is fine because I pretty much own the first few spots, if not most of the page. It looks like some people are making them just for their business.

Another cool thing is you can do a search. Here's a search on Google Profiles for Madison, WI. I'm on page 3 right now, so I guess that's not too bad.

So get your Google account and sign up for one. It's free advertising and you can set up links to your website(s), which is more links pointing to you.
