When people view your website on their phone, you want to make sure they can click (tap) on your phone number and then have it dial your number. This makes it easier for them so that they don't have to temporarily memorize it (where they might get it wrong). The HTML code to do this is simple and it can be done for any kind of website - including WordPress websites.
To do it, just find where your phone number is located on your website - either in the HTML code or in a widget or theme option in WordPress or other CMS.
Next, just change the phone number to this HTML code:
<a href="tel:888-555-1212">888-555-1212</a>
Where you replace "888-555-1212" with your phone number - in both places.
For example, the Webstix phone number is 608-277-7849, so the code for us would look like this:

Once you do this, when people tap on your phone number, they will be asked if they want to dial your number:
