Add a New Poll (Survey) to a Joomla Website

Set up the Poll / Voting Survey

Set up a poll by going to:

Components > Polls

Click "New" at the top right and fill in the title and options. You can ignore "alias" as the will automatically be filled in.

Click "Save" when you are done.

Activate the Module

Now you should activate the Poll component in Joomla, here are the steps:

1. Login to the Joomla Control Panel.
2. Navigate to:

   Extensions > Module Manager

3. With the drop down on the right side ("Select Type"), choose "mod_poll" to view those items.
4. Click on the poll module name that you want to use / edit.
5. Inside the module, select the poll that you would like to display on the website. Select it from the "Module Parameters" on the right side.
6. Click Save at the top.

The poll will now display on your website.
