Below are the requirements we've received from a vendor that provides merchant services. They need to check your website for these thing (all or most may be required) in order to approve you to sell products on the Web:
A Web Site operated by a Merchant, Sponsored Merchant, or Internet Payment Service Provider must contain ALL of the following information:
- Complete description of the goods or services offered,
- Returned merchandise and refund policy
- Customer service contact, including Electronic Mail Address and/or telephone number
- Transaction currency (e.g., U.S. dollars, Canadian dollars)
- Export or legal restrictions (if known)
- Delivery policy
- The address of the Merchant Outlet’s Permanent Establishment, including the Merchant Outlet country. This information must be contained on either:
- The same screen view as the checkout screen used to present the total purchase amount OR within the sequence of Web pages the Cardholder accesses during the checkout process
- Consumer data privacy policy – A privacy policy is required for accounts that are processing via ecomm, AND for those merchants that collect information for manual processing of the sale at a later time.The privacy policy is required only if the information includes a card number.If the merchant is only collecting name, address, etc, a privacy policy is not required.
