WordPress 7.0 “Armstrong” introduces several new features, editor improvements, performance enhancements, and better design tools for website creators and developers.
This update also includes accessibility improvements, security enhancements, and a more refined site editing experience.
Upgrading to WordPress 7.0 helps ensure better performance, compatibility, and overall website stability.
The previous version of WordPress was 6.9.4 on March 11, 2026.
